Fish farmers take the eggs out of the males mouth for several reasons, chief among them the fact that if the fries were left to the free swimming stage in a pond with a 100 adult aros, it would likely end up as food. There is no set time to take the eggs out of the aros mouth.

Chaos32;582970; said:Yes they do. As long as it's fertilize, whether it is incubated in the mouth or not does not bother the aro farmers. Also since pond inspection is a random process, they have no way to know at what stage the eggs have developed merely that the fish is brooding. When the fish is caught & they pry open the aros mouth, regardless of the stage of development, it has to be taken out, otherwise with the shock of being caught & all, there is a high chance of disaster happening. Trust me, we have witness many aro harvest & this is a normal occurance.
