Aro swimming funny

Have a little silver around 5inch. Eats and acts fine. The only problem is that he swims with the back part of his body sticking up so that his top fin sticks out of the water. The front part of his body could be under the water 1/2inch and his back is at the surface. Any insights would be apprieciated.
 
How long has it been going on? How long was it before he started it?
 
Can you spook him so he swims below the surface?
 
I just did. He still swims at an angle. The spot on his fin that is white is also white on his body. Did not notice that before. It is not like fungus above the scales. It is just pale in a half dime size spot.
 
that's strange....
I wonder if there is an infection making his tail more buoyant. (if that's even possible)
 
The tank he is in was treated with coppersafe about a week ago. Some of the other fish in the tank had small white nodules in ther fins. Can mela-fix be used with that in the water?
