aro tank mates

building a new tank it will be 180 gallons with a 75 gal wet dry filter. would really love to have some sort of aro likely a silver. my ? is what other fish would make good tank mates? was thinking maybe a pacu. I have had them in the past and just love them. would they be ok with a aro also what other fish do you guys and gals think would go great with them.

a pacu maybe if you have at least a 1000 gal tank they get hugeget some larg cichlids or some tinfoil barb any thing not to aggressive but not smallernuff to fit in its mouth

Because the arow stay's on top, you most probably could add all mid and lower region fish that are up to the size of the arowana. What would you want to do with the tank?

It's always nice to add some bichir, some sort of loaches, tinfoils, maybe some cichlids etc etc.

Mine shares his home with 2 large clown knifes, a flowerhorn, a big jag, big oscar, albino channel cat, and a small algae eater. If they wont fit in its mouth they will probably be alright:)
 
there are a lot of possible tankmates out there.. those that i have personally used are: motoro stingray, endlicheri bichir, ornate bichir, clown/royal knife, siamese tiger, flagtail prochilodus (feifeng), spotted gar, black barred/red hook silver dollar, jurueanse catfish & tigrinus catfish..

others: giant gourami and peacock bass ;)
