Aro Vs, Temensis

So heres my problem about 2 months ago I filled my tank with a bunch of little monsters. they have all easily doubled in size already with the temensis peacock being the dominant fish despite the channel cat being double his size. This was fine because the only fish he really beat on were the cat fish who for the most part shrug it off. Now hes been going after my aro who is my fav fish. simple fix if i wanted to get rid of my peacock but i dont. heres my question; if i replace the silver with a jardini do you think the jardini would make it? my only other concern is im afraid ill be replacing one tyrant dictator for another and that the jardini will start killing everything. what do you guys think? i would like an unbiased opinion before i go into the pet shop as they will obviously will tell me to replace my 20 dollar aro with a 100 dollar one. i dont get it either they used to be great buddys and always hung out together... such a bummer :cry:




 
They are in a 225?

And easily double in size does not constitue an accurate measurement. You will likely get allot of opinions.. But how big are you fish.. And what woudl be the size of fish you would bring in for the one you will take out?

Why would you get rid of the aro if it is your favorite fish:confused: :screwy:
 
IMO:if the silver is your favorite fish then i/d get rid of the peacock and not try a Jar..if the Jar decides to fight back instead of just "shruging" it off then you would be in for a big war with only one left swimming. taking size of both fish into consideration of course ;)
 
Sorry wasn't trying to give measurements, didn't think it relevant. They are in order of size 6-7" Channel cat, 6" TSN, 5.5" Aro, 5" Temensis, 2x4.5" Colombians.
i figure i'd prolly try to get a jar around 5-6", ya a 225. I'll prob be picking up some odd ball Synadontis tomorrow as well, it was really neat(black w/ yellow dots) and guy at the store said hed get around 2' witch is good as i dont have any cats that are lifers in there now.
 
well the peacock is my other fav fish and if i could get an aro that would live with him that would be ideal.
 
Jar would be dead as the Silver at that size... In my opinion :)

I would go with a Silver about 12" in that case :)
 
lol, 12"?! he would eat... EVERYTHING. I thought Jardinis were the bad ass's of the aro world? I got these guys cause i was tired of dealing with the drama of central am cichlids, now here i am in the same damn boat....

I doubt it. But you can believe what you want especially since you are "thinking" that this does this or that does that.. I am just given ya my experience and opinion:)

And Jars are just like every other arow beneath 8"...
