I have 8 2-3" pbass right now, I would like to try an aro with them but was wondering if the pbass would be able to go with a 4-5" Silver arowana. Do you think that they are to small?

They should get along, I have seen threads where Arowanas and Peacock Bass get along just fine. What size tank?

Right now it is a 90g, but within the next few weeks I will be transferring all of them into a 72x30x18 tank. I havent had an aro before, will it be able to outgrow and eat them or should the pbass be able to keep up?

at that size I wouldnt risk it, because Pbass are pretty streamlined if you know what I mean, and at those sizes I think the aro will try to eat them.

Id try to get them at a simillar size.. otherwise it could work at those sizes if you had the bigger tank..

I got my aro at about the same size as my cichlas and has grow twice the length of my pbass. So my suggestion would be get your aro....wait first of all are you asking about a silver, jar, or black? Silverdragon, has a silver and I got a black. or are you looking to add a jar?

Wait till the peacock bass are 5" and then get a 5" aro. They should get along fine. I have a 20" silver with some of my cichla.

Should be fine. That is what I am planning on doing as soon as I find one.

Any aro would be fine apart from a Jar IMO..

It will be a silver, i'm gonna check it out and if they have anything closer to the 3" mark I will go for it otherwise I will wait it out as you guys suggested.
