Ouch that looks painful for your Aro.

Has your friend been keeping up on weekly water changes?

Have you tested the waters? Is the water normal?

Are there any other tank mates? How are they looking?

Add some aquarium salt if your friend has never added any for now and seek for furthur help.

No cure for that kind of sickness, sooner or later it will lose appetite and will decay to death, or you could try medicine that has biospheres in them such as Mardel Maracyn plus with biospheres, very excellent fungus destroyer ]

Biospheres attach quickly to the fish body's where the medicine would need to be deliver fast and quick.

OMG serious? no cure? What would cause taht on an Arowana though? that looks seriously nasty.

3lbs/100G bump heat to 86F
Full dose Binox - 75% WC every 2nd day and do a full redose of Binox. Replace salt lost in WC.

Clean water and a broad spectrum antibiotic.

Forget about Kelman...someone who thinks feeding insects is disrespectful to your fish and says larger fish need to be fed more frequently than smaller, younger fish is just completely...

Anyways, follow what crazyness has advised. Salt and binox should be able to solve this no problem. If it was me though, I'd go with 50% changes daily instead of 75% every two days.

thank you for great advises. i will follow Crazyness's advise. Seriously, can't underestimate how important WC is. This happened when the owner keep too many fishes in the tank. One fish died and decay in the tank for 1 day. Next thing you know, open scales and walaa fungus and infection.
