i am assuming by 12 gal you meant 120 gal. hopefully? anyway...how about trying some fresh market shrimp or large crickets? they are a very tempermental fish. hopefully it is just a phase and itll come around. good luck!

my aro finally eat something today. I had to buy about 48 fidders (24 guppies and 24 rosie reds) to make sure he ate. I m feeling very gud about this aro, its the 3 in almost a yr. and now I know not to but my arow from a certain petstore in Houston. They are great in almost everything except the fact that they have beeing selling sick arows.::irked:

ill assume its a 120 gallon since ur running it with a fluval 403.
dont worry if its not eating as long as the water params are in check.
It will eat if its stable.

Da' Man here is right on the money I agree. Clean water, air, water params, he'll eat when he's hungry. Watch to make sure he doesn't get too thin, but with his environment set up right, he'll get over it! Best of luck to you.

Have the posters read everything before commenting?

His tank hasn't been cycled yet. Your fish will be fine without food for even additional few more weeks. I would be more concerned about getting the tank cycled before worrying about him eating. Aros in new environment won't eat for a while even if there's nothing wrong with the water condition.

Go get Bio-Spira made by Marineland for quick cycling or get an established filter media (from a canister filter) ASAP.

i agree....get the ammonia down then watch for the nitrite to spike .....all DANGEROUS to the fish !!!!
