Aro's and driftwood question...

Hi... i was scrolling through pictures and i noticed that alot of people have driftwood as part of their decoration in their arowana tanks, But i know that driftwood lowers the PH level.... and i know that arowanas do better in higher PH such as 7- 7.7. So how do you members keep the PH levels alkaline even with driftwood in the tank??

driftwood hardly lowers the ph unless your whole tank is full with driftwood.

My water level is at 6.5-6.8

I always thought the water was supposed to be slightly acidic or neutral.
