Aros and motoros, are they friendly to each other?

I thought aros and motoro get along fine without any agression to each other. But last night was my worst night. My favorite jardini got pinned by my motoro and ate half of its head off. I don't understand it. Must be my aros too small and thout it was a feeder?

Jardini and rays are generally a bad mix. The rays always get the worst of it.

Many people do mix rays with silvers and blacks. It does depend on the individual temperment of the fish involved. I had a medium sized motoro make a snack out of a 7" black.

yah i think it'll depend on the size and temperment of both. one is top dweller and the other is bottom. i've seen people who had success. with this mix, but theres always exceptions (size of individuals/size of tank....)

Pangong_ilong,

SA arowanas and SA stingrays seem to work well together... Asian aros and any ray normally ends up in trouble.
