Hi i wanted to put 6 lil P.Bass bout 1-3 inches in a 180 grow out and i wanted to have some nice tankmates. I've herd i could put and arow in there with it. Cant i ? What does the water have to be like? What substrate and decor is ideal for it? tank is 72x24x27

If it is a grow out tank, i dont see why you cant have an arow in there, most people keep arows in a 180g, like dandanuk and delagdo. and since they are both from south america they have the same water quality, hope this helps:)

yup! thanks its a grow out for the P.Bass but not the arow.... If i have room for it when i get my permanent P.Bass tank then it will go in there

I have been wondering the same thing. It really depends on the size of the arowana. When that trap door opens, it is a cavern in there. Right now I am not willing to risk my Pbass. My arow eats goldfish just larger than my smallest pbass, so obviously I won't be experimenting to find out. I have an empty 250 that will become home to some of them.

p.s. I got both my pbass (15 of them) and my arowana from JuanTamad. He has some really amazing fish and some awsome racks of tanks. I was almost speachless when I was there.

The pbass should be quick enough not to get eaten by the aro, but you never know!
