A small piece of Duct Tape roughly 2x2" fell into the tank and the arowana swallowed it before I could remove it. This was a few hours ago, and the aro is now floating in the top corner. I'm concerned it's going to die. Any1 had a similar problem?

I am no expert but I would be freaking out right now. If the fish is big enough I would dig my fingers into its mouth and pull it out if you can. It could be caught near the gills. You could use some blunt tweezers or chop sticks if you are good with them. Probably a dangerous move but if the fish looks like it is already dying, it may be the only option.

Cheers for the support, I already tried that. After finally managing to stop it jumping all around the room, I had a look down the throat but it's long gone now. I also now know why arowanas are grouped as bony tongued. That Tongue looks mad!

I had a gap that needing covering temporarily, which has been fine for a week, but it unstuck and fell in the tank. So I advise to not put any thing small enough for your fish to swallow near the tank because it probably will get eaten

well its not dead yet, but not fully recovered. I didn't think fish could regurgitate after they had swallowed something. It will probably digest, very slowly.

Another member recently lost a jardini for unknown reasons. He cut it open after it's death and found a cigarette butt within it's belly. Hopefully your aro won't succumb to the same fate.

That's bad, no I hope that doesn't happen. I'm not surprised it died what with all the pollutants in them.

Idk about aros but I know most fish can puke up stuff after they swoled it like rtcs
