Hey guys,

I just got an jardini. He's scared most of the time since he's just been introduced to the tank, so i understand there's a factor of settlin in. But i've noticed that sometimes he stops swimming and sits in one place at the top of the tank, even when no one is around. He's also in a tank by himself. I think this inactivity stops as they get older, but i just wanna check ur guy's opinion. I'd really hate to have a static arowana when its not feeding time

thanks for all the comments and replies

give the little guy some time, introducing a fish to a tank doesnt automatically get the fish to get use to it in like couple hours it could take days or months. :)
but all the arowana i have are like this when they are younger but then they wont give a crap who is in the room and wont do some bounces when they settle.

give it time. it took mine about 2 months before it REALLY settled in. how big?

good to hear. yea, i figured he would be constantly swimmin when he gets older, but just wanted to check since i still have a lil time to trade him back in. a static arowana would suck.

He's about 4.5 inches right now and readily took hikari pellets when it was fed to him. =)

mine has been with me for nearly 4 months + or so but he still gets skittish sometimes
he has grown from 5" to 13", but sometimes he just gets scared not that i have ever tried to beat him or anything :D

Introduce some not so shy tankmates in there. Should help in some way.

Yea.. im plannin to introduce a delhezi bichir when i come back from my snowboarding trip.. I hope the delhezi this time would be active instead of just lie around =/

hey i just got my jardini as well. its really jumpy when i walk around the room or approach it.

i have 4 decent size angel fishes that i wanted to add to the tank with the jar..anyone think thats a good idea?

i got a small silver with an almost full grown angle and they along pretty good
