Here is some pics of my silver arowana and some juvenile Electric Blue Jack Dempseys that I got on the same day.

Arowana is eating silver sides like a champ. Not accepting krill, he will eat a small piece of nightcrawler but no additional ones after his first...

EBJD's nice and pump after eating, colors looking really nice.

Some African Cichlids I aquired with the Fronts, the striped one is a Kenyi and the others are a Maingano pair.

Hope you enjoyed the mediocre pics, I don't wanna take away from the fish spending to get a real camera :grinno:

He's about 8 inches long. He eats whole silversides, they are very soft though after being thawed so he can break them up easily if he needed. They vary in size, up to 2" and down to .75". I give him 4-5 depending on how big the present selection of silversides are.

when my friend feeds his fish he cuts up the silverside and takes out the spine. you just feed it whole right, does he have trouble eating the head? cant the spines hurt his stomache?

He eats the whole thing. Even the head is considerably degradable after being thawed. It is of course possible that the spine could injure him but I deem it unlikely. Consider arowanas in the wild or those that eat live feeders, they eat the skull and spine as well. Large aro's in the wild even eats birds with claws and beaks...
I am not concerned enough to willingly dice up silvesides to say the least;)

wow thats very interesting im gonna try to feed my aro silversides now when hes bigger.
what else do you feed him?
