It will work. This is my tank set up.

It will work, you just have to choose which of the fish will live outside of it's typical water parameters. Many fish can adapt well to other pH and hardness, not sure what the long term effects could be.

i've seen a lot of combos that would "never work" work out completly fine. i think trial and error is part of the hobby. give it a shot. if it doesn't work either one of those fish should be easy to resell.

kind of depends on a couple of things. I would say the frontrosa is probably the more adaptive fish of the 2 so I would set my water for the arowana. Especially if it's a black aro. They can be slightly more prone to water conditions than silvers and they cost a hell of alot more than a frontrosa.

this is my aro and fronts. in malaysia the fronts is local breed so it can accept lower ph. it work fine in ph 7.5 and aro also can accept abit higher ph.
