Just a little update on the status of my silver arowana and pair of jaguar cichlids.

Incase you don't know, i bought all the fish as babies. The arrow was about 4 or 5 inch, and the jags were about 1.5 and 1.

Now the aro is 7inch and an inch deep. The jags are about 3.5 and 2 inch. Absolutely no aggression between them.

I know it's early days but i just wanted to let peoples know whats going on.

thanks

So your just boasting that you went against many peoples good advice?

Glad to see that you've been lucky with your set up so far.

wouldn't say so much boasting. and although there was advice it was pretty negative. which is cool also. i juat wanted to let all those who said it wouldnt work that (fingers crossed) its still working

i'll try get some pick up

Will be interesting to see if the aggression remains null when the Jag's start to mature....

Good luck

I wouldn't say anything yet, no jag I've seen showed much aggression until it was actually mature.

yea i have a pair of jags ... and every once in a while i have to take the female out and bring her back from the brinks .. i would say about every 2-3 months .. because he got a bug up his rear and tried to eat her ... every time i put her back in .. everything is cool ... but its always a gamble ... and i will not be surprised in the least when i come home and find her dead ... they where all great until they started getting big .. then all hell broke loose .. i call him my bi polar fish

I planing to buy baby arowana...In my local fish store have 6cm long arowanas for 7€ euros.. I have 200gallon tank with two jags female and male.. Male is about 8cm and female is about 10cm..It is good idea?

No not a good idea and your aquarium is too small for a full grown Silver Aro.
