Arowana 'newbie' here. I've had my Silver since it was very small, it seemed bugged by the lights so I really didn't turn it on and relied on sunlight. I want to start having the lights on during the evening. Is it worth stressing the fish? Will it adjust? I'm just a little concerned. Thanks again!

if you really want, you can slowly light up the areas of the tank before turning on the actual light of the tank. You have to do it slowly though. My oscar was terrified of my the tanks light, and it usually played dead on the bottom.

I light the tank up slowly(over a few hours. and it eventually got use to it. I only feed it when its tank lights are on so it isn't so scared of it anymore.

lower the water level and add some floating plants, this will help ease your aro's stress.

Sounds good thanks for the advice. I'll try it tomorrow. I've just been a little concerned because it has become extremely skittish recently even without lights.
