AROWANA ATTACKED!!! IMMEDIATE HELP NEEDED!!!

Hi guys, I woke up today to find my Arowana with missing whiskers, beaten up fins, and worst of all, MISSING EYEBALLS!!!

I am very sure the cichlids did it. He has been chasing the Arowana around for a month or so but he was just nipping his tail. I guess he was just being territorial and since I am moving them to a bigger tank, then the biting will stop, so I didn't take much notice.

He is always lying at the bottom or floating at the top but he doesn't swim at all. I already added in salt, general cure droplets (all I have) and removed the cichlid. I love my Arowana and I don't want him to die. What else can I do to help him?!?

+1. Doesn’t sound good. Not much else except to wait it out but I’d suggest some clove oil and put it down.

Ok thanks. He's doing a bit better now. He's already swimming around slowly but usually just floats at the side of the tank.
I was wondering if I could keep him in the same tank as the bichirs cuz they usually just stay at the bottom and won't bother the aro.

Arowana is around 1ft, cichlid is around 5inch... Didn't know such a small fish could deal so much damage.

African Cichlids are unfortunately too aggressive for Silver Arowana. The Venustus aka African Giraffe is a Haplochromis species that can become very territorial so that's why the Silver Arowana was attacked imo.
