Arowana chases "red dot sight" like a friggin' cat

The damdest thing...
I was toying with a laser dot sight and the red dot appeared on the sandy bottom of my tank...Sr EL friggin' camino my arowana decided to attack it like a cat...needless to say I am way carful where that red dot shines...anybody else with that experience?

my friend works at petsmart, and he got that was made for cats. His lazy ass cat does do anything with it so he tryed it on my cichlid tank they went crazy it was quite entertaining. They didnt slam into anything or hurt themselves, just chased it. Oscars seem to love the red dot too. Silly fish.

I wonder if the light hurts their eyes.
I've tried that but my fish kinda just swim up to it then go away and ignore it.

Yeah my cihlids like chasing lasers it's fun for me and the fish
