Arowana & Cichlid Tank Mates ????

Hey fellow tank busters. Just a quick question in tankmates. i'm about to get my new 540gal tank and want to stock a nice Jardini. Do Dovii & Managuese work well as tankmates with Jardini's?
 
that is an EXTREMELY aggressive combination. Maybe in a tank as large as yours it will work, but keep in mind that you have put together a list of 3 of the top killers in the aquaria world
 
it depends on the temperment of the individual fish involved really , i have 10" jar with pair of 8" jags, a pair of dovii 4", a 8 inch butti, and 5 inch red devil ,plus a 10 inch veija, and a 12" channa aurantimaculata ,two pairs of cons approx 4 inch, and all get along great in same tank

all i would say is keep a eye on things and have an escape plan if someone turns nasty
 
different fish have different personality ..even same fish have their individual personality...Goodluck...go for it if you really like to...start out small

I would personally not risk it, but there is a slight chance that it will be ok.
 
I can't answer for the Dovii though I would think not.Jar with the Jag should well and truly be possible in that size tank.It will also depend on their personalities.I had to take my Jag out of the Jardini tank.He was fine for ages then he decided he didn't want anything in with him including the RD and Pearsei.That was in a 180 gal.If I had a 540 it would have been fine IMO.Jars are usually the instigator but in my case it was the Jag and he beat the crap out of the Jar.It has been over a mth and the Jar is still hasn't fully healed and is cohabiting with the the RD and Pearsei fine.I think my Jar is more mellow than most.
