Arowana, Clown Loaches and Rays - good tankmate ?

Hi,

I know that Rays are good tankmate for Arowana. But what about Clowan Loaches. They are good tankmate for Rays or not ? I have 10 clown loaches, one Black Arowana and want to buy 2 Rays.

What do you think ?

Yeah clowns like to nibble on everything.
I think they would be fine. They might tickle the rays though

I don't have any rays myself, when I was thinking about getting one I was told that they get too big for a 180g tank. You may want to post in the ray sub form about what type ray you may be able to put in a 180g.

I buy Hystrix 4-5". For about 3 years I will have to change home for my rays, but maybe it take longer, because Hystrix grow very slow. I asked couple people in this forum about it. They say that it can be Rays like: Scobinas, Hystrix or Retics. They can grow for max 24" but it is little change that they will have that size. Probably they will have no more that 18"-20".

You should ask that question on the ray forum , having clown loach has always kept me away from rays. I am curious to what they would say.

Ive had this AWESOME combo myself. Biggest worry is the size differences and growth rates....
