Arowana eating habits

Hi guys,

I have a couple of silvers that are about 3" in size. Have only started giving them a bit of MP and they are taking it fine. My only worry is that I have 3 3" dats on in there too so I always throw in a few pieces of prawn for them.

I'm worried about my silvers getting drop eye as I have another silver in a different tank thats about 2.5ft to 3ft and he doesn't have drop eye. I have always fed him from the top and he doesn't get food off the bottom of the tank, but my smaller silvers do. Is there anything I can do to stop them eating from the bottom? I want to try and minimise drop eye as much as possible as the larger silver has no drop eye and in my opinion, them eating from the bottom plays a huge part.

any ideas?

Feed them Aro sticks, they float. Also theres tons of threads on here addressing droop eye and everyone has their own opinions.

They seem to fill up and grow faster on prawns than food stick. I still do give them food stick.

when it gets a little bigger, shove food sticks into the mp. it really bulks them up.
