Traded for a Australian arowana. The challenge and experience from rehabilitating sick fish interest me. It's fins had bite marks all the way to the base, including s few missing rays on the top of the tail. He's been at my lfs for 3months and it never improved or grew back. Probably due to the damage and fungal infection covering the whole fish. Had him a few weeks now, fungus gone and performed a fin trimming. Any chance he will recover fully? Wasn't thinking ahead and forgot to take before pic, but here's a pic after surgery. He's eating pellets and the tanks been treated for parasites and fungal guard post surgery.

Nice save :) if the damage is not down to the root of the fins I see no reason why it can't be back to full health , clean water , regular wc's , decent sized tank and a good diet is all he needs. Well done for saving such a wonderful fish , have you kept jardini before now ? Look forward to updates on his progress

Evz, thanks for the tips and praise. I haven't kept jardini before but had silvers. This piece is the least skittish aro I've owned though, and more flowerhorn in personality, which I like. He's eating any pellets I drop in there, so I'm pretty optimistic.
