arowana fins

there is a gap on the fins of my arowana. one at the bottom of his bottom fins...and one at the top...just looks like a split in his fin.....i thought it would grow back to fully normal..but its not....can i pour salt in..... or any suggestions?

how long has it been like that?

you could have high nitrate levels

as high levels of nitrate can delay or completely hault the healing process

test your water if this seems like the case

no need to put salt. this will definitely grow back in time, just ensure you regularly do water change to keep the water clean.

yeah my aros have had the same prob but it will grow back with time but do check nitrate levels

hope it gets better. I know nothing of the sort
