Well guys, just an update followed by a question.
My Christmas gift pair of silver arowanas have not shown any additional aggression towards each other now that I added some more floating plants, and logs and other items at the surface of the tank. They appear to be a lot less stressed now.
Their comfort and happiness has shown even more in their appetite. They've eaten pellets, flakes, feeders, shrimp, crickets, and pretty much anything I put in the tank so far.
Are there any particular brands of food that you guys recommend? A good pellet? I'm using a high-protien predatory fish pellet as one of my staples right now. Are there any treats that your arows go nuts over?
