Arowana getting very aggresive lately.

I have an asian arowana which is 15 inches and lately he's occupied the corner of the pond and when the oscars come to feed he charges at them. Is this common behaviour?

It is an Aro maturing, and showing who is boss.

My Asian aro attacks food like its going in for the kill had my finger a couple of times, he is 17". Similar behaviour with my red terror except the terror gives as good as it gets almost mutual respect . Oscars arnt that brave and so aro will dominate
