I got 2 silver Arowanas a couple months ago. they were both only about 2 inches each when I got them. One of them is growing alot slower than the other. Does anyone know why this could be? The big one is probably around 6 inches now and the smaller one is probably 4. It's not because it's not getting enough food or getting picked on. The little one actually ate alot more than the bigger one for the longest time, and he sort of picked on the bigger one for a while. Now they're both fine and eat about the same amounts, but the one is just growing so much slower! Could it be that one's a male and ones a female?

I'm not sure why that is in your situation, but usually one dominates the other so the passive one will not eat as much and usually is a bit beaten up from being picked on.

Thanks, that's what I'd normally think too, but it's not the case this time. I guess we'll see. Hopefuly the little starts growing a bit though before my tiger shovelnose gets to big and decides to eat him.
