ok so i know that arowanas jump out of tanks and this and that but i have a 8 inch aro and while i was in my kitchen i heard some splashing in my tank smd he is only thing besides a pleco and i doubt it was the pleco makin the splashes what im trying to find out is that is he jumping because he is mad or because he just doin his thing?
Because i think what it is is htat my tank is on the green side since i told my folks to get my sterilizer and they got me the replacement instead so i gotta head up there this week but lmk if you can help me out thanks

hes in a 75 to himself i mean yea but jus the last two days he started jumping i jus hope wen this sterilizer comes in he goes bac to his calm self.

no that's not how it works
and you can't keep an arowana in a 75
and read some threads on arowanas

it is okay for an 8 inch Arowana but what about in a month or two when he is 12-14"? then in four months when he nears 18"? He does need a bigger tank and he should be looking for his 265gal+ for January....You can try a nightlight to calm him down but you DO NEED a bigger tank

O.O is this arowana on steroids? growing 4 to 6 inches in a month? Even with the best care, water, diet and space; I think pushing 1 inch a month is already the tops. I've had my black arowana for about 3 weeks now and he's grown about 1/2 an inch? It's in a 180 with a ornate, 4 CLS and a pleco. I keep nitrates below 10 and I feed twice a day... I'd like to know how I can get it to grow 4 inches in a month.

Sorry I might have over exagerated/compared silvers to my Afro which grew 3" in one month and since June is now at least 9" last I checked

No, it's ok. I was just curious. But dang 3 inches in a month... good job man. What did you feed it?
