Is this a black arowana with the snakeheads and pacus?

Does anyone have photos of large black arowanas so I know what they look like once they lose their coloring?

That's a silver arowana in the video.
Here is my old 28"-30" black aro. I've seen a couple 30"-36" black aros in person. They don't look much different as they get close to max size. Just puts on more mass.

Thanks! Judging from those photos, they don't look as thick as silver arowanas. Are they less predatory?

Yes a silver at the same length would most likely be thicker but my black aro was only starting to put on some mass. I've noticed silver aros don't start packing on mass until 24" while black aro don't start until closer to 30".

As for being less predatory, it'll really depend on your fish's personality and how well fed it is. I've had 28"-30" black and silver aro with 6"-8" fish. No problem since I keep them well fed.

So, if I bought a silver or black arowana and kept it well fed, would I be able to keep it with a school of 7" filament barbs and it leave them alone?
