we are all used to see arowanas in a aquarium always moving in a circular motion and seldom would it stop. i've recently placed an arowana in a pond and it has been a week already and it would only come out from his rock when i'd touch it with a stick and it would swim away so fast to look for another place to hide. i'm thinking it is still adjusting to its new environment. any insights on this behavior? it is more than a ruler long already though juvenile.

hey ahmad.. thats my eventual plan.. to move all my silvers into a large pond.. are there other fish in the pond? and DONT touch it with a stick.. a tank is very different from a pond.. is there any sort of lighting?? a soft light at least?? put up some pics.. give it the time.. and is it covered???

kaya, its just the silver aro, 7 medium sherbunkens and lots of local guppies which breed so fast i could not keep count of them. the pond is outside, under a roof and sunlight would directly hit it one end of the pond at around 7AM and at the other end at around 4-5pm. i'm still planning to position some nets as for the aro not to jump out. 15ft by 3ft by 2ft estimate.

it feeds itself with the guppies that are abundant. i bought it from LFS which had around 6 same size aros in a 20gal tank. that is what i was thinking that it really spooked :WHOA:
