So just bought these from Walmart. Thought these were pretty interesting. Basically these are alarms u place on ur window/door. When they separate they go off. Thought about maybe placing one of these on the lid n the other counterpart on the actual tank, kind of like an arowana jumping out tank alarm system. Obviously just better idea to weigh down tank and prevent the jumping, but just thought it was an interesting idea. Hows all the aro keepers doing?

There are other ways, but none as cool as having your own fish tank intruder alarm LOL :-)

I had 3, 1/4" glass pieces cut (all around 17" x 25") that basically sits on my eurobrace and cross brace. There's heavy duty felt underneath the outer perimeter of the glass lids, for obvious reasons. I had 3, 2" holes drilled across each piece for ease of feeding and for holding to remove. If the glass is pushed, I think it currently can handle slight impact. BUT, I have some Eheim suction cups placed in between each glass where I'm going to add some acrylic rod pieces to help secure the lids for added security.

It sounds more complicated than it really is. But I like the alarm system :-)

You're supposed to help out your dad with these not make a make shift alarm for your tanks lol

Also I bought like 10 of these at the dollar store but don't know about quality.
