Arowana laws in the U.S.

Hi,

This is more of a curious, possibly a future expedition for me, but what kinds of arowanas are legal in the United States? If it comes down to state differences, would anyone happen to know what they are in Illinois.

Or, if anyone could guide me to a website that lists what is illegal I would thoroughly appreciate it.

Asian arowanas are completely illegal everywhere in the US, period. The other types vary from state to state. Check the restricted species list in the Marketplace for more info.

All species other than Asian Arowana are legal to keep in IL.
