My silver aro, 12” long is sitting at the bottom of tank since my aquarium cleaning.I took him in a big plastic cover . Cleared the aquarium well. Filled up with water and around 20mins after i introduced him.! And from around 2 weeks he is like this. He only comes up when i go near him to feed. Rest all time he sits at the bottom near the filter.. please help..! Before my aquarium water changes he was well and active. Know he seems to be lil scared because he jumped when i was trying to get him into cover..

Did you change all of the water? Why remove him?

I filled a plastic cover with same aquarium water and made my aro to enter into the bag.. i replaced the whole water expect tthat water in the cover. Old water colour was tooo cloudy and my aquarium glasses were to bad to. So need a clean up

I think your tank is not cycled at all. Do you have a filter? What kind? What size tank? Substrate?

I would only do partial water changes regardless of how messed the water is...maybe no more than 50%. I would go get some Seachem stability and prime now, but check your water parameters first. What did you clean the glass with? You need some hefty filtration for an Arowana only in a 4 foot tank and that powerhead isn't likely cutting it...maybe like 2 canister filters. He will outgrow that tank shortly. You could get a couple of sponge filters in the meantime to help aerate the water and provide better filtration.

YES.. 4 feet tank

Your not helping yourself replying in all CAPS, yes what? The tank is cycled? I doubt it, especially if you felt the need to drain all the water because it was cloudy. Tank is 4 feet? I am assuming a standard 55 gallon then which is only 12" wide, already stressing this aro.

If you want help give more information.

Sorry bro.. mine is 67 gallon tank and my arowana is about 12inch long. I checked my filteration system.. its circulating the whole tank.. i also used to remove the residues daily..! As i said early, my water got cloudy. I think its because of my water change(i did a 25% change before). I only notice it after that. So i thought the whole water became bad for him. Its why i chaged whole of it
