arowana missing scales

hi guys my arowana is missing some scales yesterday he was fine ate food sticks today about 8 of his scales were missing he didn't jump or anything but his scales are missing he is about 12 inches now here is a pic of him before when he was perfectly fine


i currently do not have pics of him in his current situation but he is missing 8 scales and his head is badly bruised. i added salt to the tank and some melafix to prevent infection also did a water change but there is no ammonia or nitrites as i did a test. he is still active

It will grow back. Just keep up with the water and usually will heal without medication.

Probably jumped and hit the top of the tank. It will eventually heal.

Mine would jump in the middle of the night and would drop afew off every now and then. Aros over a foot are really hardy so it's no need to be worried. You could try dropping the water level down a bit so he's less like to hit the top of the tank.

he ate today but he is starting to get really jumpy when i turn off the house lights and go to sleep thanks for the help
