last time i posted my goal with my gold and im looking for african in california,i forgot too clear something up,my "gold" arowana isnt asian ROFL! its an australian arowana, he is really gold so yea, i like too call him gold, btw is jardini and australian the same or different

Understood. All's good.

Both are the same.

Its called Jardini by some Australian by others and in India its called Pearl.

Experts please correct me if I am wrong.

There are two aro species in Australia, Scleropages Jardini ( Jardini ) and Scleropages Leichardti ( Lei or Leichardti ). Jar's are quitre easy to find; Lei's are very difficult to find.

If you post a pix we will try to tell....

When people say "Australian Arowana" it could be either Scleropages jardinii or S. leichardti, but mostly it is S. jardinii.

If you could post a picture it'll be really helpful.

Correct:) It's funny here in Australia. A lot of people around the world can correctly name and identify these 2 but most people in Australia seem to only know them as Saratoga or Toga and have no idea there is 2 different types. If I told most here my Jar was an Arowana that would throw them even more:confused:

That would be fun to watch...........
But I have always seen that whatever is local doesnot not get its due respect.
