arowana not eating?

I bought a 5 inch silver arowana yesterday (3-5-06) and have not been able to get him to eat. The LFS only fed it rosy minnows, and i want to give it other foods. Should i be concerned that it wont eat rosys for me? This is the first arowana ive had and am just slightly concerned.

just give him time to adjust. I would try frozen krill and make sure the tank and the room that its in is fairly calm so the aro will feel more secure.
 
Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you got it yesterday. Just keep at it. He'll come around.

When I got my first aro I had the same problem. Mine ate at the store but when I got it home it didn't eat for 5 days. Then it came around once ajusted and ate like a pig. Fourtanatly the one I got ,the store had it on pellats already.
 
I wouldnt worry yet. If you can, try to feed it come little chunks of perch, bluegill, or crappie fillets. Thats what i got mine on from the start! Very inexpensive....FREE!!! Plus you get to go fishing!
