Hello everyone, myname is Thomas and I write from Tenerife Canary Islands and is the first time I write for some time, it is important that my silver arowana has an eye problem and I would like to inform me of what I can do. It is operated but no one here does, is there any other solution? what could I do, with help from a friend Biologist? I have not seen many videos n youtube and it seems complicated. what if I do nothing?

my theory... when they bump their head. Fat deposit devolop to help cushion the eye from being damaged.

Just like how we get callus on our hands or feet. Too bad they never post a before and after video.

Maybe I have not exlicado Well, this is a video of youtube, I just put my arowana that has this problem.
Today I talked to a veterinary hospital in the area and tells me what I could do, with laser cutting, but they must see the fish before evaluating the Practicability of the operation.

Thanks

most people whill do this at home.

They drug the fish. and use a scapel to cut away the deposit.

Down eye is mostly cosmetic, so for me anyway it is not risking its life to fix Down eye

Why would you want to do that? If the fish is big and old then I believe the fat deposit causes the droop eye. But young fish?:screwy:

Anyway, I enjoy my fish the way they are. If they so happen to develop droop eye, then I will accept the fact that they have developed droop eye.

Thanks for your answers.
My Arowana is only 3 years old and measures about 20 inches and has severely affected the right eye, almost looks down, not to do anything?

Thanks
