So, I have two aros now. Both silver. One "Igor" is shy, won't eat with lid open. Won't eat unless you sit very still. The other "Wally", my wife's, Eats out of your hand (sharp teeth). If I take the lids off, he'll jump 6-8 inches out of the water to grab a cricket. Totally unafraid of humans.
The biggest difference between the two is Wally is on a cement floor. Tanks are almost identical. Igor is a month or so older.
This will be interesting when our pond is finished. I hope they get along. I think Igor's larger size will help equalize his lack of aggressiveness.
Neither seem too aggressive towards other fish anyway.
