Hello I'm ritesh and I'm from mauritius. I have a silver aro and I want to transfer it in a new pond, right now its in a 4 foot tank. Its just a growout. In the small tank the aro gets white stringy stuff on him every week, they disappear as soon as I do a water change. I was told that it was because the arowana was secreting excess slime coat to protect itself from the ammonia. Below are some pictures of the filters I use and my pond. It holds 2000 L of water. I know its ugly but that's all I can afford right now, I'm still a student. It has a 10000lph pump. The water is divided into a boyu efu 15000A which I use for mechanical filtration. The rest goes to a diy drum filter. I used bird net as biomedia, the drum is 3/4 full with the net. I have attached a picture of the bird net below. I was advised to use this by a local koi breeder. Can you please let me know whether the filtration will be OK. The pond will be stocked with a tin foil barb and the aro.
I don't want it to die.
Can you guys also suggest the least stressful way to transfer the aro.
Thanks lads
