So i have a baby silver arowana in a tank with another baby australian arowana that i just puchased. The guy at the store told me they would be fine and i want them to grow up together so they can go in a bigger tank in a couple months. But the australian seems to be picking on the silver and the silvers tail is splitting. i want to keep them together but i need advice. what should i do?

Arowana's are NEVER good in just pairs. You keep them in odd numbers to make a community arowana tank. Australian arowana are very aggressive and usually are kept by them selves when they get big. This combo will not work. You cant even add 1 more arowana b/c the aussie arowana will kill both of the silvers. Choose which arowana you like the most and sell the other. You were ill-informed. Glad you asked on mfk.

I second this. I suggest you keep the silver. Their more peaceful and easier to keep with other tankmates.
