no not long term they get like 3 feet i have one in a 6'x2'x2' and some would argue that the tank is to small long term but if you want it for a while it would work. my aro is 13" now and it has had a 3" a month average growth rate:headbang2

do what i do and sell them once they get bigger, then buy a new aro every 6 months ^_^. its a hobby in itself and costs absolutely nothing aside from your tank setup. just don't feed it goldfish and it will stay healthy and look good enough to sell later. goldfish ****s up the color, attributes do ugly drop eye, and is basically a growth stunting bigmac for fish.

i feed mine some goldfish and it has alot of colors and it only got dropeye after a 8 min stay on the floor after a failed suicide atempt witch remindes me if you do get one a strong top is a requirement not an option! i got one after the trip to the floor

nope it wont

A 75 gallon speaking as IF the 75 was a regular 48"x18" (LxW) one, the silver should be able to grow to around 15"ish before needing a bigger tank. Decoration to me is a no no, as I like a tank bare and just full of fish.

BTW what size silver are you planning on getting AND do you plan on getting him tankmates? If so what type of fish?
