My silver Arowana jumped out of a tiny hole in my tank this morning, luckily I was in the room at the time and was able to get him back in the tank soon after. He started bad once he was back in the tank, but after about 10 minutes he was swimming around minimally. Now he's swimming around fine again, maybe a bit sluggish, but he looks pretty beat up and sometimes sits still with his head angling upward and his tail gradually descending deeper into the tank. What should I do to help him recover and how long should it take him to recover? He's about 5 or 6 inches in a 75 gallon by himself.

I really don't know what you could do to get him back to better health, but I know when fish are stressed out/not doing so well its good if u keep the light off. I wouldn't be adding any medication to the tank yet. If he is in with other fish, I would remove the other fish temporarily until he starts to get better...the other tankmates (if any) will probably make him even more stressed.

He'll be fine. Keep the lights dim but don't put the tank in complete darkness. try adding some floating plants to help it feel more secure. Taking up to a week to eat again would not be abnormal.

He's struggling pretty bad now, checked on him today to find him dying on the bottom of the tank with minimum movement, so I moved him into a 10 gallon and added some Stress Coat. Henstill doesn't look great and it's been 1 week since he's eaten anything.

If he was alone in the original tank, why would you add additional stress by moving him?
