ok considering now I can get a bigger tank, i had the option of getting a reef ready tank or just a normal glass cage tank. I Decided that i wanted to go with the reef ready considering it comes in a package with sump canopy and stand. But I from the overflow format for the filter of the tank.. I was a bit confused. According to the LFS they said that the water flows from the top of the tank, pouring water into this smalll bucket like thing then the water is channeled into the sump and back out. But Here was my concern. Since the overflow water intake was ON TOP of the water andbelow the water Level in taking water... what are the chances the Arowana will do the same? Isnt it possible for the arowana to get pulled into the filter's intaking current?

I am actually a bit confused on one thing though. The tank stand canopy set seemed open at the top. I didnt see any sort of covering... Is that supposed to be like that?

How big is the arowana? There have been a couple cases here on MFk of small arowana getting sucked into or up against the overflows. Open top tank with canopy would be fine as long as there is no way for the aro to make it's way out of the tank and onto the floor.

if its comes made with the tank from the factory..it will have the square overflow box which are 99% fish proof

Normaly the overflow has like inchlong slits on the top so water flows through the slits but fish dont topple over the top... I can see small fish being stuck to the slits... Maybe... But its not like a sucking type deal its just gravoty so if its stuck to the top of the overflow it was more or less a weak fish that either was already dead or woulda died anyway
