Hello guys! im new here on the forum, im from sweden... i want some help...

I bought 2 asian arowanas over a week ago, and only one has eaten and looks fine... the other arowana breaths very fast and hes twitching, he often lies on the bottom, maybe a diesease or stress?? he looks fine in colours and on the body, and i cant see any parasites...

What can it be?

please help me...

sorry for my bad english

Kind regards Mattias

may b its not comfortable yet(stressed)......(provided the water conditions are fine)
check on the water conditions and any possible injuries or disease

the water levels are fine, and i have checked it every day since they came... i have looked around on the internet to check if someone had have some similiar problems but i dont find any... he twitch all the time when he swims but he never rubbes his body on the bottom or something like that, like it would be parasites or similiar... its something else.. at the moment he swims and touches the body to the bottom, really close...

something else?

Water parameters Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate ?

How much light are you giving them ?

Are they both in the same tank ?

the water levels are fine... have checked that... i give them around 8 hours of light everyday... they are both in the same tank...

Now are he swimming on his back :(
:( How warm is your tank temperature? You may want to separate them. He's stress, whether from the shipping/transporting, or from being with the other aro. Good luck.
