Arowana Size and Compatibility Question

Currently, I have 2 giant gouramis @ 13", 1 endli @ 12", 1 senegal bichir @ 8" and an ornate bichir @ 13". I plan on taking a green arowana. Will a 5" green aro survive in this tank?

Possibly, but in my opinion not worth the risk

Biggest worry IMO would be the gouramis, they can be nasty SOBs when they want to! Bichirs are lazy when well fed, so keep them fat and happy til the aro is bigger.

The gouramis aren't so aggresive but my worry is my bichirs. They were the one that ate my vatf.

Well if the arowana is of similar size to the vatf then the answer to your question is fairly obvious!

Haha but aros are stronger and faster right? And this one will be an inch bigger than the vatf. Do

i think it,s pretty risk to put an arowana into your tank,the size different is too big.if i remember correctly,a bichir can swallow something 3 to 4 times longer than it's head.but i think it's depend on your bichir.my 9,5 inch senegal never touch or bother my 3 inch pleco
