Arowana Skittish

Why is my silver arowana always scared at night jumping around hitting my peacock bass, datnoids and the tank. Even with lights on or off its scared and no one can be beside the tank, is it with all arowana's?

Im thinking of gettting a lei soon are they scared also at night..

My jardini was the same when I first got him but he's settling down now he's getting bigger but still knocks off a few scales jumping at the lid every now n then, how big is yours? Probably just needs to get used to the movement if he is new

I have had silver and jar from baby to two foot and didn't find them skitish. Both were in my living room with kids cats and dogs running around. They were raised that way. I have a baby lei now, that isn't in the main living area that is kind of skitish. I would recommend just sitting in a chair in front of the tank and doing things like read. Just carry about normally. I think it will get used to stuff. How is your water quality and water changes? Poor water quality can make fish jumpy.
