AROWANA SLEEP

i'm sure arowanas sleep. but my question is, if lights are kept on for long periods of time, are they able to get enough rest? and does this have any long term effect on their growth. i've asked this question in other sites and forums before but i dont seem to be getting the adequate answers. tanx ya'll

i think they have an autopilot mode in their brains coz they dont stop swimming and they dont have eyelids too. what im curious about is the sensitivity to light coz im sure it gets pretty dark in the wild

don't keep the lights on all the time man just for the purpose of tanning. Whether you see them sleeping or not, all animals have a day/night cycle, and they'll become increasingly distressed if the light is on all the time.

I used to see my jardini sleeping on the bottom when the lights went off.

I know lots of fish shut down part of their brain at a time for sleep.

my aro gets still and rests on the bottom as in sleeping, he has a spot I built with no current and I have no doubt that is he equal to sleep time.

My aros always are on the move but i agree with rumblesushi they need the lights off to have a normal cycle
