Ok i am planing to get a black arowana my current stock is
2 x oscars 9 1/2"
2 x pictus catfish 4"
1 x tiger pleco 3 3/4"
This is in a 125G runing a fx-5 and a eheim wet/dry 2229 with weeky 50% water change
So i was looking to make a 8x3x2 tank the stand will be steel box and the tank frame will be steel angle then glue the plywood into the angle then fiberglass to seal the ply. I have seen to go to 18mm glass for the front is this needed.
I will be running a over flow into a sump that i will make my plan is to do a wet/dry set up but not shore how big it needs to be for this stocking and tank size eg. water volume, biomedia area ect, i was planing to do 4x water turnover p/hour i also have a fx-5 that i might use for a finer water polishing.
tank setup i would like to do is a sand substrate a few rocks and 1 or 2 peaces of drift wood some fake plants comeing through the top of the water try to do a basic clean looking tank.
any coments on tank setup and stocking this would be very helpfull just to get it as good as it can b.
sorry for my spelling it is not my strong point.
