I have a 500 gallon(roughly) tank being custom made for an 11 inch super red aro and was wondering if the tank would fit him and his tank mates...The dimension are 119"long by 31" wide by 32" high. The tank is almost done needs 10-12 days to be up and running.

The fish are :

1 x Asian aro
1 x Fire eel
1 x Flag tail Prochilodus
6 x Geophagus altifrons
30 x Dension barbs
1 x Red spotted Severum

Any fish can be taken out of the equation..thank you for your time and feedback

I love those barbs !!! But i didn't decide to ask you guys if i didn't value your opinion so what number were you thinking ?

I think you are fine with the current number of barbs.

Do you think there is a chance of adding some large cichlid like an Oscar or green terror or will be pushing my luck

Green terrors are aggressive and territorial and you would need a little more space for them so I would go with oscar just dont overstock you tank with fish. Are you going to add the fish all at once?

No the tank wouldn't enough bacteria for that ... Probably the aro first , then the flag tail after a few days to a week then the barbs etc.....

Im probably going to stay with the stock i mentioned.. Just to make sure this set up can be for life right ?

Im worried about feeding the fire eel...Do you think it will be easy to get food to him because from what i know they will only eat live food
