  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi Tyler.. How big a tank are you getting? Are you plannin on getting a juvie aro or a large aro? I'm assuming you are talkin about a Silver Aro. Juvie aros usually 5" to 6" are best left alone as they are delicate.. and this would prob be one of the best times if you plan on a aro community.. easier to get 3 to 5 small aros and start the community earlier.. but being a hit or a miss really depends.. potential tankmates are always fish that dont/cant fit in their mouth.. but i used to have a BGK along with my aro and all was fine.. now i have an rtc with the aro..

Agreed, I have my aros with peacock bass. I started with 5 at 6" and now i have 3 at 20".

im getting a 500 gallon tank hopefully next weekend, 96''x36''x36''. Buying it for 1500 with nice oak stand. not able to start the tank on a cycle yet, getting a house in about 2 months, just wanting to plan ahead. and i will be planning to buy a juvi silver unless i can find a blue/black.

you have a lot of options with tank mates. I had mine with blood parrots, silver dollards, datnoids, oscars, etc......

It will really depend on the size of the aro, so let us know once you have your tank set up.
