Okay. So I’ve done this before and I felt just as bad the first time.
I have Sarah in a tank (280 gallon. Plenty big, don’t yell) with some silver dollars. So just for fun I put some jungle val in just to see how long it would last with the silver dollars and of course as soon as I did, Sarah got so happy and started playing in the val and just looking happy in general. I’m not willing to break up the tank but I know silvers will eat any kind of plant. And it needs to be like 27 inches tall. Does anybody know of like realistic looking fake plants? Or does anybody else have ideas? She could swim in water lettuce but they eat that too

Yes Silver Dollar's will eat most plants. I suggest plastic or silk the silk plants look more realistic. Personally would leave most of the space open for the Arowana.

Universal Rocks has some fake plants that are about the most realistic I have been able to find. They also have some that would not look out of place in a tank that size. I had to trim the plants at either end of my tank to fit into my 150.

I want to leave space open for her but I feel bad because as soon as I put plants in there she starts swimming through them and playing in them. I would definitely leave a lot of the space open for her, but some tall plants for her to play in would be cool.

Marineland makes these 3 foot bamboo plant things that I like a lot.

Edit: My catfish and bichir really love them for some reason.. they play and rest in the one pictured above all the time.
